Acceleration
The acceleration tests are conducted to ensure that materiel can structurally withstand the steady-state inertia loads induced by platform acceleration, deceleration and maneuvering in the service environment.
Additionally, these tests verify that the materiel continues to function without degradation both during and after exposure to these forces.
In defense sector, this test method applies to materiel installed in aircraft, helicopters, manned aerospace vehicles, air-launched stores and ground- or sea-launched missiles.
