Highly accurate micro-ohmmeter for resistive and inductive loads

The PROMET L100s is a versatile, mains-independent precision measuring instrument designed for resistance measurements ranging from micro-ohms (μΩ) to ohms (Ω). Thanks to its four-wire measurement technique and test currents of up to 100 A, the instrument meets the highest accuracy requirements. The PROMET L100s is also ideal for measuring winding resistances in transformers, motors and instrument transformers.

Flexibility and efficiency with a replaceable battery

The PROMET L100s micro-ohmmeter is equipped with a replaceable battery, providing full mobility and independence from mains power. Its innovative design allows for quick battery replacement, ensuring uninterrupted operation and improved efficiency. The battery is built to withstand demanding conditions, offering impact resistance and reliable performance even in harsh industrial environments. The system displays the battery’s charge status in real time, while integrated protection prevents overcharging and deep discharge.

Watch the video below to learn more about the PROMET L100s micro-ohmmeter:

Simple and intuitive operation

The instrument’s intuitive user interface and clear display of test and measurement results are provided through a 5” resistive touchscreen and dedicated function buttons. Acoustic signals offer additional information and feedback on settings and operations.

The compact hard-shell case of the PROMET L100s protects the instrument from bumps, drops and other impacts. This makes it ideal for use in even the most demanding environments, including industrial facilities, outdoor applications and construction sites.

Contact resistance measurement and electrical connection verification

Regular contact resistance measurements enable accurate assessment of the condition of contact systems and electrical connections. The PROMET L100s reliably detects excessive contact resistance caused, for example, by aging connections. Static contact resistance measurements help identify maintenance needs at an early stage and prevent costly downtime.

The PROMET L100s also enables precise measurement of main contact resistance even when grounding is connected on both sides of the circuit.

Measurements on inductive loads

The PROMET L100s is designed for a wide range of applications, including resistance measurements of inductive loads such as high-, medium- and low-voltage transformers, motors and instrument transformers. A dedicated algorithm ensures rapid charging and discharging of inductive loads, significantly reducing measurement times. The charging and discharging of energy stored in the magnetic core are visualized during the test process.

The instrument is also equipped with protection functions that prevent discharge sparks when current leads are disconnected.

The PROMET L100s can perform temperature-compensated resistance measurements. This is achieved using a temperature sensor that measures the temperature at the test point, allowing the resistance value to be calculated relative to a reference temperature.

Results management and test report generation via PC

The PROMET L100s can be connected directly to a PC. Measurement data stored in the instrument can be read, managed and analyzed using user-friendly software. Clearly presented test results can be exported to Excel spreadsheets or printed as professional test reports.

Integration of the micro-ohmmeter into switchgear testing with ACTAS

The PROMET L100s is equipped with interfaces for connection to ACTAS test systems. Resistance measurements can be seamlessly integrated into switchgear testing using the ACTAS test software, enabling automated test sequences and comprehensive analysis of measurement results.

Measured values are transferred directly for evaluation and automatically documented in the test report. When combined with ACTAS, the system can perform both static and dynamic contact resistance measurements simultaneously on three switchgear poles.
