Strain gauges for high-temperature measurements

Strain gauges are used to measure deformation in components, structures and materials. For high-temperature applications such as automotive testing, energy production, or aerospace, standard sensors are not enough. Specialized models are required to withstand temperatures far beyond the 80 °C limit. Kyowa’s weldable strain gauges and ceramic types can be used at temperatures up to +950 °C.

These high-temperature sensors are often hermetically sealed and manufactured from corrosion-resistant materials. That makes them suitable for environments with high pressure or liquid exposure.
